Not a punch of color but just a pinch. Lately my wardrobe consists of basic neutral stretchy cottons, so I’ve been trying to add a little bit of color to brighten my outfits up. Usually my accessories brighten up the outfits, like the Proenza Schouler inspired Old Navy purse in this lookbook.
Besides basic knits another must have in my closet right now especially during this pregnancy are blazers and cardigans. Luckily, I have a ton of those even if I can’t close them right now. 😦 I start with a base layer such a tank top or a tshirt, then add a blazer or cardigan. This helps create vertical lines and creates somewhat of an illusion of a smaller belly. Plus you don’t see those expanding hips as much. I wear cardigans and blazers with everything lately, even my dresses.

Love that everything is dark and the neon yellow just does enough to bring the outfit to life.

Love adding statement necklaces to my outfits these day since I’ve been wearing a lot of basics. That along with a pinch of color help transform an outfit from drab to fab!
I was definitely feeling this outfit, especially the purse and my necklace. I went to the supermarket to grab a couple of things wearing this outfit and the cashier said I was really rocking my outfit. Not sure if he saw my expanding belly but continued to say I looked fabulous. Ha! Still got it at 5 months preggers. Just kidding!
